Sigmon Psychiatric accepts children, teens, and adults for psychiatric evaluations and medication management when they are physically located in Arizona during the appointment. Angela Marton, PMHNP-BC, provides ADHD diagnosis and ongoing medication management via telehealth. Adult ADHD often presents differently than childhood ADHD and responds to both stimulant and non-stimulant medication.

What ADHD treatment looks like

Your first appointment is a detailed 45–60 minute conversation about your symptoms, history, and how ADHD is affecting your daily life — work, relationships, and responsibilities. Angela will also consider other conditions that can cause similar symptoms to make sure you're getting the right treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Can adults be diagnosed with ADHD?

Absolutely. ADHD doesn't go away after childhood — many adults were never diagnosed as kids and are only now realizing it explains a lifetime of struggles. Angela can do a full ADHD evaluation and work with you on a treatment plan.

Do I need medication for ADHD?

Medication is often very effective for ADHD and is supported by decades of research. That said, it's your call. Angela will explain what the evidence shows, what to expect from medication, and help you make an informed decision.

How long does ADHD treatment take?

ADHD medication can work relatively quickly, but finding the right medication and dose requires follow-up. Angela will explain the monitoring plan for your situation.

What if I've tried ADHD medication before and it didn't work?

There are several different medications and formulations for ADHD. If one didn't work or caused side effects, that doesn't mean others won't. Angela will review your history and try a different approach.
